GIANT Movie Fans are in for a Treat as Belfast Giants Team up with Cineworld
Belfast Giants take on extreme 4DX for launch of new partnership with Cineworld Belfast...
The Stena Line Belfast Giants have teamed up with Cineworld Belfast to road-test the state-of-the-art new 4DX multi-sensory experience on offer in the eagerly awaited, newly opened Belfast cinema.
Giants' captain David Goodwin, Ben Lake, JJ Piccinich and Scott Conway recently got a taste of the stimulating 4DX effects like snow, water, wind, scent and strobe lighting, that thrill you in your moving seat. The players, usually known for creating excitement on the ice, were made to feel right at home with thirst quenching ICEE frozen drinks.
As part of the new partnership, Cineworld Belfast will take on the game night sponsorship for the Belfast Giants’ upcoming Boxing Day clash versus Glasgow Clan and some exciting cinema ticket giveaways will be coming soon via the Belfast Giants social channels.
Cineworld opened its first cinema in Belfast at the Odyssey complex, next door to The SSE Arena, home of the Belfast Giants last week to rave reviews. The impressive new cinema features 13 state-of-the-art screens including an IMAX® Laser auditorium, a multi-sensory 4DX extreme cinema experience, and ScreenX - which is a 270-degree wrap-around screen. These are the first and only IMAX laser, 4DX and ScreenX auditoriums to be open in Northern Ireland.
Commenting on the partnership, David Goodwin, captain of the Belfast Giants said: “It’s great to have this brand new Cineworld cinema here, right on our doorstep and to get the opportunity to test out the incredible new 4DX experience, which really takes the cinema experience to a whole new level. We have some massive movie fans in our team, myself included, and we can’t wait to come back and see some of the great new releases, and try out the IMAX and ScreenX experiences soon.”
Shauna Royale, general manager, Cineworld Belfast added: “We’re so excited to be open in Belfast and be able to offer local film lovers something entirely new with the first IMAX laser, 4DX and ScreenX screens in Northern Ireland. We know that anyone who enjoys the thrills of live ice hockey will love our immersive screening experiences, so reaching out to our new neighbours for this partnership was high on our list as soon as we opened our doors.”
The new Cineworld Belfast cinema has opened just in time for some of this year’s highly anticipated blockbusters arriving on the big screen, including, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Matrix: Resurrections and The King’s Man.
An in-cinema Café serves Lavazza coffee, plus customers can enjoy all their cinema snack favourites, including Rollover hot dogs and nachos, Candyking Pick & Mix and ICEE frozen drinks.
