Giants and Better Extend Partnership for 2023/24 Season
The Stena Line Belfast Giants are pleased to confirm the return of Better as the club’s official gym partner for the 2023/24 season.
GLL is a charitable social enterprise operating public leisure facilities in Belfast under the “Better” brand. They are committed to improving the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of the communities they serve. Better provides a wide range of accessible and affordable leisure services to support anyone looking to get active and lead a healthier lifestyle.
Adam Keefe, head coach of the Belfast Giants, said: “We are very appreciative of GLL’s continued support this season, and are proud to, once again, be working in partnership. Having access to Better’s state-of-the-art facilities plays a vital role in the team’s off-ice training and game preparation, the importance of which cannot be understated.”
Throughout the 2023/24 season, Better’s leisure centres and gyms will remain the team’s go-to locations for strength and conditioning training, as they aim to defend their three domestic championships.
Gareth Kirk, senior regional director of Better, commented: “As a community-focused social enterprise, operating leisure facilities across Belfast, we are proud to be the official gym partner of the Belfast Giants. The partnership we have created with the whole team continues to go from strength to strength. Seeing the players train and recover in our facilities – including the new Templemore Baths – shows that Belfast can now offer athletes the very best support to perform at the highest level. We wish the Belfast Giants every success for the new season.”
In addition to being the Giants’ official gym partner, Better will continue to play a key role in game nights at The SSE Arena, Belfast, with the ever-popular ‘Better Bubble Ball’ intermission activity keeping crowds on their toes at the home of the treble champions.
