Giants 'Light The Lamp' with Decathlon Belfast

A family run company, Decathlon is now the largest sports goods retailer in the world, with over 2,000 stores. Decathlon is inspired by the belief that the best sports products should be accessible to everyone. They cater for over 70 different sports in store and online, including ice hockey, field hockey, ski and winter sports.

Commenting on the partnership, Matthew Ferguson for Decathlon Belfast said: “We are proud to be an official partner of the Stena Line Belfast Giants for the 2021/2022 Season. At Decathlon Belfast we look forward to celebrating our passion for sport on and off the ice with a selection of over 70 sports to discover in store and online.”

Steve Thorton, head of hockey operations for the Belfast Giants said: “Having the support of a company like Decathlon Belfast is something we are very proud of. It’s a great indicator of our continued growth as a team. We’re excited for this new partnership that will undoubtedly contribute to our success.”

To officially launch the partnership, Belfast Giants players - Jackson Whistle, Jeff Baum and Tyler Soy went head-to-head in a series of three ‘Store Wars’ challenges against the Decathlon staff members, inside the Holywood Exchange Retail Park store, testing their hand-eye coordination skill and finesse.
