50:50 Raffle Terms & Conditions

OML Belfast Limited – Belfast Giants operate a 50:50 lottery compliant with the Betting, Gaming Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985.

Tickets are sold via electronic devices with the customer receiving a randomly generated number or numbers.

Throughout the evening a prize fund is displayed on screens within the venue.

When the lottery is closed the prize fund is divided with 50% going to the winner and the other 50% retained by OML Belfast Limited, with the net profits of all 50:50 lotteries run by OML Belfast Limited gift aided to The Odyssey Trust Company Limited, a registered charity in Northern Ireland.

The winning number is computer generated and involves no human input ensuring a fair impartial draw.

The winner is required to complete a document providing their contact information. This information is used to forward a cheque to the value of 50% of the prize fund.

In the event that a prize is not claimed on the relevant game night, details of the winning ticket will be posted on the Belfast Giants website for a period of two months. If the prize fund remains unclaimed by the end of that two month period then OML Belfast Limited will, on behalf of the Belfast Giants, donate those funds to good causes selected at its discretion; the decision as to the selection of good cause being final.

Participants must be aged 18 or over. OML Belfast Limited – Belfast Giants reserve the right to refuse the sale of 50:50 tickets and ask for identification as proof of age. Please participate responsibly.

In the event that a prize is not claimed on the relevant game night, details of the winning ticket will be posted on the Belfast Giants website for a period of two weeks. If the prize remains unclaimed by the end of that two week, the jersey will be retained by OML Belfast Limited who reserve the right gift, sell or re-raffle the jersey at their discretion.

Belfast Giants reserve the right to refuse the sale of SOTB tickets. Please participate responsibly.

Use of Flags/Banners

Guidance for use of flags/banners at The SSE Arena, Belfast – Belfast Giants games

The SSE Arena, Belfast upholds the highest standards of Health and Safety. The following guidance is in line with the Arena’s rules & regulations.

We are aware that visitors to the Arena like to display flags and banners during Belfast Giants games and the Arena will always be as accommodating as possible.

Flags and banners will not be generally confiscated, however the obstruction of gangways, access routes, exits and entrances, health and safety signage and stairways is strictly forbidden at all times. In the event of an emergency all access and exit points must remain clear.

The Arena reserves the right to confiscate flags if they are very large or may compromise public safety, obscure someone’s view, a camera position or if a flag carries offensive, discriminatory or inflammatory messaging.

The Arena is a neutral venue; national/country flags are not permitted, e.g. Union Jack or Irish Tricolour, nor are flags which show any type of political affiliation or slogan.

Any flag over 1m x 1.5m in size at their widest or longest section must be either:

• Manufactured with an inherently flame retardant fabric OR
• Treated with an appropriate fire retardancy treatment in accordance with the relevant British Standard. All flags of this nature must be accompanied by the appropriate fire retardancy certificate. Flags will not be permitted unless this certificate is available at the time of use.

NB: Flags/banners which have been treated (rather than inherently retardant) must have a certificate dated within the previous 12 months.

Flags more than 2m x 1.5m cm in size at their widest or longest section are not permitted and

Flagpoles (plastic only) are permitted up to 1m length x 1cm diameter.

Due to Health & Safety reasons, very large supporter flags that are designed to be passed over people’s heads are not permitted.

Any articles that could potentially be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety are strictly prohibited.

Visits to the Arena shall constitute acceptance of the Conditions of Entry.
